In the words of Tyre Sales Director, Lindsay Hart:
For one week every two years, Agritechnica dominates the farming landscape. Anyone and everyone connected with the industry descends on Hanover for what can only be described as a truly mammoth show.
For me and my colleagues at Titan Europe, last week’s event was even more significant than usual as it represented the official return of Goodyear Farm Tires to the UK and European market.
Since Titan reached an agreement to sell Goodyear Farm Tires under licence in Europe and the UK, we have had two years of extremely hard work to reach the stage we are at now.
Not only are farmers aware that Goodyear has returned to the agricultural market, we have a strong product range and a solid and growing distributor network across multiple countries.
To showcase Goodyear Farm Tires at the premier event in the industry was the culmination of a huge team effort and was something the whole of the Titan Europe team took great pride from. Phase one of bringing the brand back to the UK and Europe has very much been completed!
We couldn’t have been happier with the feedback we received. We heard so many positive comments welcoming the return of Goodyear Farm Tires and footfall to our stand was high throughout the week.
Our German distributor Reifen Helm GMBH was particularly busy and there were fantastic levels of interest in Goodyear Farm Tires from the German audience.
As for the show in general, it’s impossible not to be impressed by the sheer magnitude of it. My own feeling was that there were perhaps a few less overseas visitors than normal, but that certainly didn’t detract from the feel or the scale of the event.
Speaking to farmers and distributors in general, there is no escaping that the agricultural market in Europe has compressed over the last year. The feeling is that decline has slowed and, while it’s too early to be celebrating a turning of the tide, there is a quiet if cautious optimism about the future.
We are certainly excited at what the next few years hold for Goodyear Farm Tires and the planning has already begun for our return to Agritechnica in 2021!
