Goodyear Farm Tires has almost doubled the size of the warehousing space at one of its key European sites to further strengthen its commitment to providing customers with outstanding service.
The Titan France headquarters, based in Flers, Normandy, has added more than 1,500 sq ft to its capacity, ensuring it can reduce both transit times to major European cities and delivery lead times to farmers.
The move has been made due to the increasing popularity of Goodyear Farm Tires across Europe and to accommodate the products of the recently-acquired Carlstar Group.
Carlstar became part of Titan International in February 2024 and helped diversify the tyre range into alternative sectors including outdoor power equipment, power sports, trailers and alternative agriculture and construction equipment.
Lindsay Hart, European Sales Director for Goodyear Farm Tires, said: “This is another significant move as we look to offer the best possible service to our customers right across Europe.
“The larger warehouse capacity will ensure we can offer a broader range and higher volume of stock to be immediately available and, in turn, that will ensure faster delivery to our European customers and extremely competitive prices due to lower transport costs.
“Both Goodyear Farm Tires and Carlstar products are attracting strong interest across Europe so it’s important we have the best possible infrastructure in place to meet the demand effectively.”
Goodyear Farm Tires strengthened its offering in France last year by creating a new Low Sidewall Technology Development Centre to provide its UK and European distributors and customers with improved access to one of the most innovative products on the market.
It meant the manufacturing and customisation for the exclusive LSW wheel and tyre assemblies can now be carried out in France.
The LSW assemblies have been a huge success for farmers across the world. Operating at up to 40 per cent lower inflation pressures than standard tyres, they provide increased crop yield thanks to reduced soil compaction.
Previously, all production and assembly of LSW products took place in the USA but the move to a French base means they can be delivered to European countries at a faster pace and with greater flexibility.
Lindsay added: “France is a key strategic location for our European operation. Having a site in the north of the country means we have excellent access to key ports such as Le Harve and Calais and generally strong transport links to UK, the rest of France, Germany and the Benelux region.”
Titan International has been manufacturing Goodyear Farm Tires in America for more than a decade and has supplied tyres specifically for the European market since 2019.
